Terms of use
Timbuktu answers one question: which bank and card transactions still have no receipt? These terms are short because the service is small and private.
Who operates it
Timbuktu is operated by Jodok Batlogg as a private service, for his own records. There is no company behind it and no support organisation.
Who may use it
One person: the operator. The service is not offered to third parties. Sign-in is restricted to a single allowlisted account, and any other identity is refused before a session exists. There is no registration, and no way to open an account.
No fee, no service level
Nothing is charged and nothing is promised. There is no availability target, no support commitment, and no notice period. The service may change, break, or stop at any time.
No warranty
The service is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Receipt data is read from photographs and PDFs by an automated extraction step that can be wrong, and the matching between receipts and transactions is a proposal, not a verified fact. Output is a working aid, not an authoritative record.
Tax records stay the account holder's responsibility
The account holder is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of their own tax records, and for anything filed on the basis of them. Timbuktu helps assemble an evidence trail; it does not verify it, and it is not tax advice.
Bank access
Where a bank account is connected, the access is read-only account information, granted by the account holder through the bank's own consent flow and revocable there at any time. Timbuktu cannot initiate payments.
